Well it has been a year since my last post. I was reading the blog of one of my high school classmates and his writings inspired me to make contact. I can't say that I have been to busy this whole year to blog, but I can say that facebook has taken most of my computer time. It is fun to keep up with and interact with people that I would usually not see or talk to.
Any how.......on with it.
The boys are doing great. Sebastian is so smart and helpful he is like our little mother hen. Yesterday he and Labe were getting ready to go play outside and of course Nash was close on their heels to go out too. Being wet as it is and cold I decided it better to keep Nash in because he has been acting like he is getting an earache. So while Labe was getting his shoes on Sebastian says to him, "Labe I am going to put a movie in for Nash in our room and when you get your shoes on go around to our bedroom window and wave at me to come out. I will be watching! I can only keep Nash distracted for so long so you have to hurry!!!" It is so entertaining to hear Sebastian and Labe "making a plan". Sebastian is doing well in school. He has all A's ad B's except in spelling, he has a high C. We found out that he has a thyroid problem. He started medication for that about a month ago. We have to go back to the doctor for more blood tests to see if the meds are doing there job. We have an appointment at Arkansas Children's Hospital in March with an endocrine specialist. It was really scary at first but now that we know what it is and it is manageable we are not so worried. The down side is that he will probably have to be on medication for the rest of his life. Labe is doing well in his first year of school, kindergarten. He has some days when he comes home and says "Mom how long do I have to do this school thing for?". He doesn't like it all the time but I try really hard to make him see the fun side of it. He is so much like Me, always talking and full of energy, to the point that it gets him in trouble sometimes. But soooo smart and has the best imagination of all. Nash is getting so big. He is growing fast. Dallas and I call him our little spy he will tell off on his big brothers so fast its not even funny, there will come a day when he will be in cahoots with the older two and then it will be Clay's turn to be the spy! Nash has a personality all his own, he is so sweet and always very loving. Don't get me wrong all the boys are but Nash in particular. I hope he stays that way. He is also all about his colors and shapes. He will point them out all day if someone will listen to him, Labe gets frustrated with him because he of course already knows all of them and says "OK OK Nash I got it, a green star!!!!". Clay will be 15 months old on the 14th of this month and is just now walking good. I was kind of worried that he would never walk but I guess when you are toted around by everyone there is no reason to walk. He talks some to, basic words like momma, dada, uut-o, bubba, and a few other words, same with talking as with walking, why talk when you have four people in the house that when you grunt and point at things they get them, so why talk? I read to him and Nash a lot during the day while the big boys are at school so I know that he is getting it, I guess he is just hard headed......I don't know where he gets that from!!!
I love being a mother. Although at time is can be a tough job, it is the best job I have ever had. It is a wonder to watch my boys learn and grow. I hope, like every parent, that I can be a good teacher and make the best four men possible. Everyday I thank my lucky stars that I have such a great family.
